Hold as the longest river in Ethiopia, Blue Nile Falls got its own attraction. Some experts says that these river accommodate 80% of Nile river water. An ancient river that gives life through its flow into Sudan and Egypt.

The most exotic about Blue Nile Falls is that the waters are smoky because of the high stream from the above. Becoming one of tourist attraction in Africa, offering beautiful surroundings environment.

Danakil Depression

Danakil depression as it was called by local citizen or Dallol depression which are desert include in hot extremes climates. If you think that heat is the only attraction, you were wrong, in the Dallol Depression you will experience earth tremors several times. Those activities are coming from several active volcanoes. The temperatures could reach higher than 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) in the sun.

Tourist who ever got there will mention this place more looks like hell on earth, its because of the high temperature and the surrounding environment. Here you could found yellow sulphur fields, green crystal pools and sparkling salt beds.

Harar

Instead of the long journey exploring Ethiopia, the tired and exhausted are paid when you visit harar. From Addis Ababa you have to travel 350 miles to reach Harar. Harar is one of the fourth holiest Islam city, got 82 mosques within its 16th-century walls. Among the tiny alleyways are markets. And don’t forget to taste the historic coffee when you were here.

There is no question that Ethiopia is the 7th in the world as its large world coffee production. The most interesting in the coffee is the taste, its unbeatable, and don’t you know that the secret lies in the making. It was kept traditional since 10th century, all the production are made by hand of the worker directly.

Fasil Ghebbi

There are lots of historical sites in Africa, especially in Ethiopia’s, but there is one area that stands apart from the rest, well equipped with essential amenities like shuttle buses and several other facilities for tourist convenience, it is popularly known as Fasil Ghebbi, also know as the Royal enclosure.

If you visit it as first timer visitor, you could easily misjudged its years of existence, which is supposed to be around 1635 but had so far been enlarged over the years by its various influential tenants. The ancient building had suffered incalculable damages due to an earthquake that affected it in 1704; it was also bombed by invading British Soldiers during the Second World War. As a result, many positive changes have been effected over the years especially by UNESCO, all in a bid to preserve its historical facts.

Injera

Injera is one of traditional food in Africa, mainly in Ethiopia. Injera also known as flat bread in other continent. This food look like pancake, but doesn’t taste that way. Injera is the Ethiopian staple bread (staple = a principal dietary item, such as flour, rice, or corn) its thin crepe like flat bread that the dishes such as Wots, Tibs and Fitfit are served on with fermentation as the key point. To eat the dishes pieces of injera are torn off and used to scoop up mouthful.

Injera is unique to Ethiopia, from its distinct taste and main ingredient the Teff cereal. Teff is the tiniest cereal and used as a staple food only in Ethiopia (in other parts of the world its associated with common grass). Teff is believed to have originated in Ethiopia between 4000 and 1000 BC. Teff seeds were discovered in a pyramid thought to date back to 3359 BC.
